CV writer
An agentic workflow that drafts a CV and cover letter for a specific job. It reads your existing documents, extracts the job requirements, researches the company, retrieves relevant past projects and iterates on drafts with a critique step, pausing for your input at each decision.
Runs locally from the command line; there is no hosted demo.
About the project
CV writer is an agentic workflow that tailors a CV and cover letter to one job. It reads your existing CV and cover letter, asks for the job description and extracts its requirements, researches the company with Tavily, and retrieves relevant projects from a folder of past work.
The workflow is a LangGraph state machine with a separate agent for each step. A router decides what to do next from the conversation so far, and the program pauses for your input at each decision. Retrieval has two stages: vector similarity first, then an LLM check that each project is actually relevant. A critique agent scores each draft and suggests changes, and drafts are refined until they pass a quality threshold.
PDFs are produced by having an LLM write the LaTeX, so the style can be changed in plain language, for example asking for dark blue titles. When the LaTeX does not compile, the compiler errors are fed back to the LLM for repair. It runs locally from the command line and needs OpenAI and Tavily API keys.
